Microphone Pre-Amplifier was created by audiomik
Hi, am looking for a single channel Microphone Pre-Amplifier, 5kOhms transformer balanced input with Phantom Power and a flat frequency response with -3dB points at 15Hz and 30kHz.
Gain needs to be ideally switchable in 10dB steps between -10 and +50dB with a level trim control, or preset, for calibration of the Microphone 'SPL' measurement to the output Voltage.
Output can be unbalanced into a 50 Ohm load with a maximum output of 7 Volts RMS before clipping.
Haven't found anything suitable from the 'usual sources' - not surprising perhaps as the application is somewhat specialised.
The purpose of the Pre-Amplifier I'm looking for is to be able to input a Measurement Microphone into either my Solartron FFT Spectrum Analyser or Bruel and Kjaer Heterodyne Analyser, for running acoustic tests.
Anyway, thought I'd ask if anyone has, or might know of, something suitable and very importantly affordable that meets the specification above before warming up my soldering iron
Thanks in advance
Mik

Well, after much searching - found that Bruel & Kjaer manufacture something suitable but unfortunately not within my finances - so have decided to design and build something suitable myself....
