after reading round a bit, im kind scared to buy a broken amp which weighs six tons, would neet to be shipped to madrid eventualy (where c audios are few and far between), wont play 2r (which i never do anyway to be fair) and is said to go bang with spectacular fireworks. but i dont doubt the guts of this thing... ill let 170 hang in the air, just to start the haggling

Hi Dave, Tbh i've never had any of my c-audio amps go bang, smoke or anything and i've had a lot of them. Just the little click of the protection circuit on the right side coming on, on this one.
I also never run any amp at 2ohms so i can't comment on that.

Offers are the name of the game here, split the difference £225?

sorry, i didnt meen to give a bad impression. just for the record i have no experience with this amp, and my above comment was based on about 40 min of googling. not exactly hard evidence. as a matter of fact im looking for sr 606/707mk2s for their rock solidness. ill have to think bout it mate. its hard for me cos i have to add 100ish euros of shipping + unknown repair costs. but for anyone else, perhaps in uk, this is a lot of power for not much money

No worries, yeah shipping aboard can become expensive.
