Saul came round mine today, and brought a measurment mic and RTA software.
We measured a pair of simonr (ish) kick bins, the main aim was to see how the kick bins played compared to simulation. Im sure Saul can post the software and mic details later.
Important to bear in mind; i had a multimeter across the inputs to the cabs reading 2.8v (or 2v for the 4r) on the sweeps, but the mic wasnt calibrated so the SPL appears to be a tad high. But the offset should be consistant, so you can see the flatness of responce and the gain with 2 bins.
These are slightly different to simonr's design.
Heres some pics;
1 kick bin 1 watt, not calibrated remember
Not a bad plot for 1 kick bin, considering its supposed to be used from 80 - 180Hz
2 kicks 1 watt, not cal'd remember
2 gets alot smoother, even down to 70 now, but i think excursion at high powers still limits them to 80Hz.
